About Dr. Han, our San Antonio fertility doctor
Dr. Eric Han earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology from Tufts University. He completed his medical training at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. After medical school, Eric Han MD went to Yale School of Medicine for his internship and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. He served as chief resident, and at the end of his residency, Yale School of Medicine awarded him the Yale School of Medicine Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery Resident Award. When he finished his residency in obstetrics and gynecology, he began his fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI), also at Yale School of Medicine.

During his residency, the department of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences awarded him the Joel Silidker Award. The department gives this award to someone they feel creates a collaborative environment among the people on the healthcare team, something that is so important for good healthcare.
Eric Han MD has been involved with several research projects during his educational career. He has also published journal articles and book chapters. Many of his projects further the knowledge fertility specialists need to help patients get pregnant. For example, one of his most recent projects focused on oocyte cryopreservation, or egg freezing, a fertility preservation method that our physicians employ for women who want or need to delay pregnancy.
